After practising for nearly ten years at the Paris Bar, Eve Mongin moved to Italy, where she passed the Italian Bar exam and joined an international commercial law firm. Making the most of her trilingual skills in French, Italian and English, she became counsel to Italian companies operating both in Italy and internationally.

After practising in Italy for twenty years, she opened her own practice in Paris, where she assists French and foreign companies on a daily basis with their domestic and international transactions.

Eve Mongin is specialised in commercial law, private international law and Italian law.

Her perfect knowledge of both Italian and French legal and judiciary systems has enabled her to build up an Italian clientele operating in the luxury goods, cosmetics, design, culinary products' sectors, Made in Italy, and to effectively advise them aon their commercial, corporate and real estate operations in France.

Working in both Italy and France, Eve Mongin represents the interests of her clients before the French and Italian courts and arbitration bodies, as well as before the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

The expertise she has acquired in commercial law, as well as her perfect knowledge of European regulations and international treaties which now have a growing influence on business activity and trade, enable her to offer her clients tailor-made services and to develop strategies that are always adapted to their specific needs, as well as to anticipate, avoid and/or manage disputes as effectively as possible.

She can rely on the support of a network of foreign correspondents, whom she knows personally, as well as Parisian colleagues who are experts in their respective fields, with whom she works in perfect synergy.

THE FIRM'S DNA
FOR THE CLIENT AND WITH THE CLIENT

The firm's DNA can be summed up in three words:

availability, transparency and responsiveness.

The client is at the centre of the firm's attention and of the way it carries out its business, which is characterised first and foremost by a role of advice and assistance, in the literal sense of the term, from the first contact to the closing of the case.

The first contact is followed by an immediate response and the organisation of a meeting, during which the customer outlines his needs and expectations, and which will be invoiced at an hourly rate of €150 if it is followed by the opening of a file.

An ad hoc strategy is then drawn up in close collaboration with the client and summarised in an engagement letter, which will be signed by the client, detailing the nature and conditions of the intervention, as well as the fees that will be charged depending on the circumstances: fixed fee, hourly rate (€300 excluding VAT) or success fee, in compliance with the ethical rules governing the profession.

Official correspondence with the opposing party and/or draft legal documents in the context of a dispute are always sent to the client before they are dispatched, so that the client is fully informed.

Article 1.3 of the lawyers' code of ethics is and remains the mantra and fundamental principle that inspires and guides the way Eve Mongin practises her profession: ’A lawyer shall perform his duties with dignity, conscience, independence, probity and humanity, in accordance with the terms of his oath. They shall also respect the principles of honour, loyalty, equality and non-discrimination, disinterestedness, confraternity, delicacy, moderation and courtesy. He shall demonstrate competence, dedication, diligence and prudence towards his clients’.
